OUr History

Initially known as Alan Plummer and Associates, Inc., the company was founded by Alan and Peggy Plummer in Arlington, Texas. Using their living room as an office and setting up a drafting table in their bedroom, the couple served their first client. Initially, projects were water quality planning and modeling, permitting, treatability, odor studies, operations assistance, and preliminary engineering studies.

Within four years, Alan Plummer and Associates, Inc. transitioned its service as primarily a study firm to a study and design firm, with an emphasis on water and wastewater treatment.

The company goal of 15 employees was achieved. The company’s first design project (TRA Ten Mile Creek WWTP Expansion) was completed.

PHILANTHROPY

We strive to give back to the community, and employees are supported when they choose to participate in philanthropic activities, whether through donations or by volunteering their time. From mission trips to Nicaragua and Guatemala, to the collection and donation of shoes and backpacks, to volunteering time to educate children about engineering and science - no act is too small when it comes to helping those in need.

Living Water International

Since 2009, our employee donations and company-matched funds have paid for multiple new water wells in rural communities throughout Guatemala, El Salvador, and Haiti which previously had no access to clean water.

Water for people. Everyone Forever.

Water For People is an international nonprofit based in Denver, Colorado. Their goal is to bring water, sanitation, and hygiene services to everyone and to make sure those solutions last for generations to come. Our staff members continue to donate and support the organization.

Denver DreamCenter

This program provides interested parties with the opportunity to adopt children or families and purchase gifts during what can be a stressful holiday season for some. Plummer’s staff select a family or families each season, purchase gifts from each child’s wish list, and meet them in person to provide the gifts.
