The City of Round Rock operates and manages the Brushy Creek East Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) on behalf of their partner cities Cedar Park, Austin, and Leander. The service area is experiencing rapid growth and the partners needed to quickly increase capacity. Plummer was retained to conduct conceptual design, preliminary engineering, and final design to expand the plant. This work under construction for approximately 28 months, includes partner reviews and authorization of subsequent phases.

Plummer is serving as Construction Manager and Resident Project Representative for the 10 MGD, $107 million expansion. A third treatment train is being added which includes a grit system, headworks, odor control, aeration basins, clarifiers, site piping, electrical buildings, and a pump station. The resident project representative coordinates with plant operations staff to keep the existing plant fully operational during the expansion project. We also coordinate the administrative side of the contract for the City, using Projectmates for online project management.
